Site Location

Directions to Shuttle Parking Lot68575 County Road T

From Crestone:  Take CO RD T to the POA/Funeral Pyre sign (Camino Del Oro East) and turn Right.  Turn left into POA Parking lot.  

From Hwy 17: Turn onto CO RD T to go to Crestone out of the Town of Moffat. Take CO RD T to the POA/Funeral Pyre sign (Camino Del Oro East) and turn Left. Turn left into POA Parking lot.

Event Parking & Shuttle

Please park in designated spots in the POA Parking lot and check-in at shuttle pick-up table.

Shuttle will be available for the General Public throughout the event. If you need ADA parking and have a valid pass, please follow signs to continue to site – 19850 Camino del Oro East.

On Site Registration

General Public Registration will be open from 8AM-8PM. You will be asked to sign a liability release waiver & agree to the property guidelines.

Site Schedule

A full program schedule will be posted on our website, posters around the site and an optional program guide can be purchased on site.

How much does it cost to come to the Energy Fair?

The Energy Fair has been a free event since its inception in 1990. We honor this tradition to offer free education to all regardless of their financial situation. We are encouraging a donation or a trade of volunteer hours to help us create an atmosphere of true exchange. Please consider making a contribution through our Go Fund Me campaign:

Is there set-up help needed?

Yes, help will be needed the week of the event –
Tuesday, 8/24-Thursday, 8/26 from Noon-4pm
Friday, 8/27 from 10 AM – 6 PM
Go to event site: 19850 Camino del Oro (Follow signs – do not use Google Maps)

Is help needed during the event?

Yes! Our event is volunteer run so we have many roles to fill throughout the day. Please consider signing up for one of our volunteer shifts ahead of time here:

Is there break down help needed?

Yes, we will need break down help on Monday, Aug. 30 from 10AM-4PM.

Is water available?

Yes, we will have water available on site for hand washing. Please bring your own drinking water. There are no showers on site.

Are there bathroom facilities on site?

Yes

Is shade available?

The venue is in an open sandy field without trees. We recommend providing your own source of shade. We will provide shade for the main audience seating areas.

Camping

We are offering limited camping on site for Vendors/Presenters/Musicians/Crew ONLY.
BLM and Forest Service land is close and it is free to camp on in Colorado.
North Crestone Campground – $7/night for availability.

Lodging

There are many Air B&B’s and several Inn’s located in Crestone.

Will there be vendors?

There will be a variety of arts and crafts vendors on site throughout the day. If you would like to vend, please fill out our vending form on our website and separate instructions will be sent to you.

Will there be food on site?

There will be limited food for sale from licensed vendors and food for free on site through the collective efforts of the community. We will accept donations of food throughout the weekend as well. Please bring your own bowls, plates, cups, utensils. Dish washing stations will be available with soap and hand sanitizer.

Grocery stores

The Elephant Cloud and the Crestone Mercantile are in the town of Crestone.

Is there power on site?

No – you are welcome to bring your own portable solar or other alternative energy systems. We also recommend bringing headlamps, flashlights and/or solar lights for the evening.

Is internet available?

No – we need all of the bandwidth to run our livestream.

Is there phone service on site?

Very limited phone service at the site depending on your carrier.

What can I do with my trash, recycling, compost?

We ask that you help us Leave No Trace by packing it in/packing it out.
There will be trash, recycling and composting receptacles on site but please remember we are far from services and every bit of clean-up helps. Compost is welcome to stay on property.

Closest Emergency Services?

Basic 1st AID will be available for your own use on site. The Baca Grande Emergency Medical Services is the closest EMS and ambulance service located within a few miles of the event. The nearest hospitals are an hour away in Alamosa and Salida, CO.

How far is it to the nearest gas station?

Crestone – Elephant Cloud – 6 miles away
Saguache – 20 miles away
Mosca Pit Stop – 26 miles away

Is there a Kids Area?

There will be a Youth Village hosted by Rainbow Lightning. If you are bringing children consider helping out with a volunteer shift here. Please contact Taylor Martin for more information taylorthetailor@rainbowlightning.org. We will also be doing live building demonstrations to build a structure for the kids.

Are pets allowed?

No, unfortunately no animals/pets are allowed on the property.

Are we allowed to drink alcohol, smoke tobacco, smoke cannabis on site?

We ask that attendees consume anything on site responsibly, according to age guidelines & state law.
