2022 Event

Thank you for everyone’s support of the 33rd Annual Crestone Energy Fair from volunteers, to sponsors, vendors, presenters, musicians, performers to attendees.  Each one of you made this a magical and meaningful experience building community and exploring solutions together.  Please help us as we “wrap-up” the event with the care that it deserves.  We have created evaluations for different categories so we can incorporate your feedback into future planning.  Please help us by taking a few minutes to complete any evaluations that apply to you:

Freebox Fashion Show

Do you love fashion and free stuff? Take advantage of the treasures in the Crestone Free Box, show us your style, and get a chance to win awesome prizes in our Free Box Fashion Show!

The intention behind the fashion show is to showcase the free box, and to bring awareness to some of the versatile ways second hand items can be given new life. Fair goers won’t know about the fashion show until they arrive, giving them only Saturday and part of Sunday to gather items from the free box to create fun fashions for the show. Ideally, I would like to move some of the clothing items from the free box to a more central location, in order to get more interest, allow for more space, as well as create an opportunity for the free box to be organized after the show. Ideally a 30-45 minute time slot Sunday afternoon would be best, but I can adjust that to fit your needs.

Reclaimed Art Installation

This year for the Crestone Energy Fair Art Installation, we want to make something that encourages our community to come together to reclaim the collective responsibility of finding salience with one another in the everlasting presence of the things we choose to discard. We seek to open a portal between our community and the final resting place for our trash – be it the Saguache landfill or perhaps a metaphorical dump… or vault… or the nooks and crannies in between our interwoven livelihoods, the ever-circulating ether in which we breathe out of.
